| Thallus ±pulvinate, 2–6 cm wide, 90–300 µm thick, leaden grey or blackened. Lobes rotund to oblong, ±erect, 1.5–4 mm wide; margins undulate to plicate. Upper surface matt, prominently wrinkled, isidiate; wrinkles ±anastomosing, rarely lamelloid; isidia sparse to dense, cylindrical, branched, ±coralloid, 80–150 µm thick. Lower surface rarely isidiate, usually naked. Apothecia laminal to submarginal, 1.5–2.5 µm wide, pedicellate to adnate or base ±immersed in bullae; disc concave to flat, reddish brown; thalline exciple ±isidiate, cream; pedicel dilated, marginally attached, ±covering margin. Ascospores ellipsoidal, ±muriform, 25–30 × 10–13 µm; apices usually acute. Pycnidia submarginal. Conidia 3–4 µm long; apices swollen. | ||
| Occurs in montane and coastal regions of eastern Qld and rarely in northern N.S.W. It grows on bark of trees or shrubs in eucalypt savannah woodland and forest, open, disturbed rainforest, strand forest and mangrove communities. | ||
